Crackle: Mom, we haven’t talked in a while. Let’s talk.

Mom: Ok, but aren’t you tired?

Crackle: Mom, Mom.. I just have a few questions.

Mom: How many is a few.. exactly?

Crackle: Mom, you’re being dramatic again. Just listen. Mom, how old will you be in 23 years?

Mom: I don’t know.. It’s too late.  I need pen and paper.

Crackle: Mom, Mom.. just add 20 years and then add 3 more.. you’ll be 69.

Mom: OK.

Crackle: Mom, how old will you be in 50 years?

Mom: Old.

Crackle: Yes, old, you are correct. You’ll be 96.  You see what I did there? I took 46 and added the 90 and then added the 6. Do you follow that, Mom?

Mom: Yes. Are you tired yet?

Crackle: Now, how old will Dad be? So, when you’re 96… ummm he’ll be.. well, ok, we can just go with dead for him. Let’s just say he’s dead. He's an even dead.


Isn’t this fun?! Ok, let’s do another question.

Pop:  Mom! How was your class! Did you talk about me! Did you talk about me!! Mom:  Haha, actually I did. We talked about nature versus nurture.  So of course, I had to speak about my favorite set of twins :) Pop:  Which one am I?! Which one am I?! Mom:  Haha, well, it doesn’t quite work that way.  It’s not about which one you are.  Pop:  What’s the difference between... what’s the two words again? Nature and what else? Crackle:  It's simple.  Nature is what God gave you and Nurture is what Mom gave you.  Mom:  WHAT did you say???  Wait a minute...  Are you reading my text book again? Are you up to Chapter 3?!

Pop: Mom... I want everyone to be kind to one another. I don’t want any more bad things to happen to people, especially to children. How can I bring peace into the world?  I can imagine it, but I don’t know how to do it.  Can you help me figure out how I could do it?  Mom: Ahh, yes… I understand those feelings and the idea you have. That is a very beautiful and noble idea.
